About the qualification

CertLTCP is a specialised qualification designed for financial advisers looking to specialise in long-term care and later life planning. It covers the UK long-term care planning environment, including the responsibilities of the NHS and local authorities, long term care insurance and the financial assistance options available.

The qualification will equip you with the expertise required to offer later life financial planning, including how to analyse and evaluate clients' needs, understand how financial assessments are undertaken, how eligibility is assessed and the taxation and legal issues arising from different long term care planning solutions.

CertLTCP is intended for those working in the financial services sector who are looking to focus on long term care and later life finance. It can also count towards the specialist option unit of the Level 6 Diploma in Financial Advice (Adv DipFA), making it a good first step for Level 4-qualified financial advisers looking to enhance their qualifications.

Hear from a CertLTCP learner

LIBF (part of Walbrook) was the natural choice for me because of its reputation as a world class centre of excellence. The material was both easy to follow and informative. For a busy professional it offers maximum flexibility. Overall, the learning experience was positive for me and for my future studies. Recommended.
