A commitment to responsible growth
Today, LIBF has published a significant document as part of the company’s sustainability journey. In it, we set out our commitments and practices in various aspects of sustainability.
LIBF has been established for over 140 years. While we have a long history behind us, we also have ambitious plans for our growth as a higher education institution, financial education provider and membership organisation for the banking and finance sector and beyond. We need to make sure we’re managing this growth in a way that’s socially and environmentally responsible.
LIBF is part of IU Group, which is a certified B Corp. We follow the same rigorous Ethics and Sustainability Policies of our parent company.
Our ‘Sustainability at LIBF’ snapshot
Our ‘Sustainability at LIBF’ snapshot document includes an overview of our sustainability profile in accordance with UN Sustainable Development Goals: our relevant educational offerings, examples of LIBF’s thought leadership initiatives, and policies covering ethics and diversity.
The document includes a foreword from our Vice-Chancellor and CEO, Steve Hill, as well as details of how we’re governed. This aims to provide transparency and give assurances on the competence and diversity of our management team.

I am optimistic about our future and our potential to be an even more sustainable and socially responsible educational institution. Our goal is to equip every generation of professionals with the knowledge and skills they need to champion sustainable initiatives. We are at the beginning of a long journey towards sustainability, and we are committed to making a meaningful impact and upholding high standards as we progress.

Future sustainability reports and data
In the future, we plan to publish regular sustainability reports, which show our progress against the relevant UN Sustainable Development Goals and other ESG metrics.
In the meantime, LIBF data and case studies are included as part of the IU Group’s annual sustainability report. You can read the most recent report here: IU Group publishes Sustainability Report 2023.
