Entry requirements
To attain a place on the MSc in Banking & Finance, you need either:
a 2.1 honours degree, or equivalent, from a recognised institution, or
to have achieved Chartered Associateship with us through the ‘qualification’ route.
If you have equivalent experience and qualifications, we will consider your application and may still accept you even if you don't precisely meet the requirements above.
In this case, you will need to show that you can achieve at master’s level. We may ask to interview you or require an extra piece of written work with your application.
If English is not your first language, you will need to achieve an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of at least 6.5 or equivalent.

This means that you can still achieve a Level 7 qualification at a level of commitment that fits around your existing life and work commitments.
Certificate level is perfect for those who want to develop their knowledge. With only three modules, this is the perfect option for the busy working professional to start with whilst still achieving a postgraduate award.
Diploma level is perfect for those who want in-depth study but can’t commit to a full Master’s. This mode of study allows for optional modules to be selected, meaning you can create a bespoke learning experience – suited to your career goals. Choose from a range of areas, including but not limited to digital banking, investment management, global risk management and more.
Master’s level is perfect for those who want to study a full Postgraduate degree, including optional modules and a research dissertation.
If you choose to study at Certificate or Diploma level and decide you want to pursue a full Master’s, you’ll be able to come back and complete the full programme (within a reasonable timeframe). Upon completion of the MSc, you’ll become eligible to apply for chartered status – a mark of senior professional standing.
