What does 'subject to validation' mean?
At LIBF, all our courses go through a comprehensive approval process known as 'validation.'
The validation process begins involves a detailed evaluation by a panel of external experts, before seeking final approval from the LIBF Academic Board.
A course labelled as 'subject to validation' has successfully passed examination by external experts and is awaiting the final approval from our Academic Board.
The validation process ensures each course aligns with our high standards, complies with UK Higher Education regulations and quality standards, and meets the expectations of both our students and the broader industry.
If you're considering applying, or have applied, to a course currently 'subject to validation', you can be assured of our commitment to providing a course that meets the highest standards of education.
Our priority during the validation process is to keep you informed and supported throughout your journey with us. That means that if the course content varies significantly as a result of changes required by LIBF's Academic Board, we will let you know as soon as possible.
Can I expect changes to course content during the validation process?
We only promote courses 'subject to validation' if they have a high likelihood of receiving final approval, to offer you confidence as you plan your future.
A course under the 'subject to validation' status is subject to modifications, including potential changes in module content. It's important to note however, that any changes required by the Academic Board are done so to enhance your learning experience, and ensure you're receiving the most up-to-date and relevant education possible.
Why do we market courses that are still 'subject to validation'?

By informing you about these courses while they're still in the validation phase, we're able to keep you in the loop on cutting-edge educational opportunities. We want to ensure you have the choice to select the course that's most appropriate for your future.
Once a course passes successfully through validation and receives final approval from the Academic Board, we will remove its 'subject to validation' status.
Application process for 'subject to validation' courses
Applying for a course that is 'subject to validation'? We have a history of successfully validating all our courses, usually with only some light module changes – which means you can begin preparing for your studies, confident that the degree you've applied for has met our high standards. The application process is the same as for any online degree, and we'll confirm your enrolment once the course receives final approval from the Academic Board.
If there are changes to a degree during the validation process, or if on the rare occasion a course doesn't receive approval (it hasn't happened yet), we'll be in touch straight away. Our commitment is to find the best possible educational pathway for you, ensuring your academic journey continues without a hitch.
