HESA (the Higher Education Statistics Agency) is the official body responsible for collecting and disseminating information about higher education in the UK. Since 2014/15 HESA has collected information from alternative HE providers such as the London Institute of Banking & Finance. Various pieces of legislation include obligations on HE providers to deliver information to government departments, funding and regulatory bodies, and other public authorities. You may be asked to provide information about your experiences as a student in the National Student Survey or the Graduate Outcomes survey. Former students may have taken part in the Destination of Leavers from Higher Education survey. Full details of the data that we pass to HESA and the ways it is used is available in the
collection notices on the HESA website.
